Heart, Humor, Hashtags: Babyshop’s TikTok Family Activation

A leading fashion and accessories retailer for children across the MENA region, known for its family-friendly events and brand collaborations.

The Challenge

Babyshop needed TikTok-friendly content created at an upcoming Lilo & Stitch-themed event. The content had to involve mom bloggers and their children in a way that felt fun, on-trend, and engaging while also being quick to shoot and seamlessly integrated into the live event without disrupting the flow.

Our Approach

  • Researched TikTok trends that were safe, entertaining, and easy to execute with both moms and kids.
  • Developed a playful “Silent Interview” concept using a Stitch plush toy as a prop. Instead of speaking, moms and kids would answer fun, light-hearted questions by pointing to the toy—keeping it on-brand and visually engaging.
    • Questions included: “Who gives the best hugs in the family?”, “Who can eat all the cookies in one go?”, and “Who dances like no one’s watching?”
  • Shot an additional TikTok video using a trending format where a mom blogger playfully chases the camera toward a goodie bag. Text overlay: “When the goodie bag is so cute… you need one too.”
  • Created a third, wholesome TikTok showing a child running toward her mom for a big hug tapping into the trend “Probably needed a hug but…” and flipping it with “Probably wanted a hug… and got the warmest hug ever.”
  • Finalized and pre-approved all three ideas after concept testing and brainstorming with the brand team.

The Impact

  • The videos successfully captured the essence of the event while delivering on TikTok’s need for light, relatable, and shareable content.
  • The two main videos saw strong engagement:
  • The third video was posted as a Story, providing dynamic coverage of the pop-up experience.
  • The fast delivery and event-friendly shooting style helped Babyshop stay culturally relevant while showcasing their activation in real-time.
